This position will form part of the Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) Maritime Assets and Infrastructure (MAI) unit. - Coordinate planning, environmental, technical and stakeholder requirements necessary to progress projects through relevant approval and assurance gateways and achieve construction-readiness.
- Manage project procurement activities, including preparation of scopes and tender documentation, coordination with relevant procurement and governance areas, and evaluation of consultant and contractor submissions.
- Manage or oversee consultant and contractor engagements, including deliverables, progress claims, variations, performance, risks and contractual obligations, consistent with applicable delegations and procurement requirements.
- Maintain project schedules and risk registers, providing proactive management of emerging risks and issues.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management systems and templates.
- Undertake other duties as directed and aligned to MAI objectives.
Desirable Requirements:
- Demonstrated substantial experience managing infrastructure projects through planning, design and delivery phases, preferably within a transport, marine, civil infrastructure, government or similarly regulated environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction, planning or a related discipline would be highly regarded. Proven experience in the delivery of small-to-medium civil or marine projects, ideally within a government or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement, contract management, and financial governance processes.
- Familiarity with TMR’s OnQ project lifecycle, or other gated assurance frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK).
