Accounts Payable Officer

This organisation operates within a structured finance environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of suppliers and internal stakeholders. With established systems and processes in place, they are seeking a capable Accounts Payable Officer to support day-to-day financial operations.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function. Your responsibilities will include:

Processing supplier invoices accurately and within required timeframes

Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts

Preparing and assisting with payment runs

Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

Managing supplier enquiries and maintaining professional relationships

Processing employee expense claims

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records

Assisting with month-end processes, including reporting and reconciliations

Providing administrative support to the wider finance team

Ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures and policies

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Sound understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles

Experience with accounting systems such as MYOB, Xero, SAP, or Pronto (advantageous)

Intermediate Excel skills

Strong organisational and time management skills

Clear communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders

Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
