A large and well established State Government department is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their busy finance team. Based in Perth CBD, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a long term contract within a supportive and collaborative environment. Working within a high performing accounts function, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier payments while contributing to the smooth operation of the wider finance team.
Your new role
Process high volumes of supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner Perform invoice coding and data entry within Oracle
Maintain supplier records and account information
Resolve invoice and payment queries with internal and external stakeholders
Process payment runs and ensure payments are made in accordance with agreed terms
Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
Support the wider finance team with accounts payable administration and reporting
Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and financial controls
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a high volume Accounts Payable position Strong Oracle ERP experience is essential
Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working within a large and fast paced team environment
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to successfully obtain and maintain integrity screening checks
