About the role
We are seeking a professional, organised and client focused Administration Officer to join our team and provide high-quality administrative support at our  Centacare Kingaroy Office.

Location: Kingaroy – 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy QLD 4610
Employment: Fixed Term Contract -12 months
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm

About the role:
This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing competing priorities and providing high-quality administrative support. As a key first point of contact for Centacare Family and Relationship Services, you will support clients, visitors and stakeholders within a community-based environment. At times you may interact with individuals and families experiencing challenging circumstances, including clients who may be distressed or upset.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide professional reception and administrative support, including greeting clients and visitors, answering enquiries, managing appointments and maintaining electronic client records.
  • Complete accurate data entry, filing, mail distribution and general office administration while maintaining confidentiality and privacy requirements.
  • Coordinate meetings, room bookings, catering, technical set-up, minutes and other administrative activities to support the team and Leadership.
  • Maintain office operations, including equipment, stationery, phone systems, premises security and escalation of maintenance or workplace issues.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, management and community stakeholders while contributing to a safe, supportive and child-focused environment.
  • Work collaboratively within the Centacare team, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, sound judgement, flexibility and strong organisational skills while supporting continuous improvement and service delivery.

  Essential requirements

  • 3 years of experience working in an administrative environment
  • Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Evidence of Australian work rights, including Australian citizenship or appropriate visa documentation.
  • Current Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check, issued within the required timeframe.
