Your new role:Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this newly created position will act as the senior accounting leader and 2IC within the finance function. You'll take ownership of group accounting, financial reporting and financial control while partnering with operational leaders to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading monthly group and consolidated financial reporting
- Reviewing management accounts, reconciliations, journals and key accounting positions
- Driving financial analysis, management reporting and board reporting commentary
- Partnering with business leaders to challenge forecasts and improve performance outcomes
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital analysis
- Strengthening financial controls, governance and accounting standards
- Leading and developing the Australian finance team while coaching and mentoring broader finance stakeholders
- Supporting strategic projects, process improvement initiatives and automation opportunities across the finance function
What you'll need to succeed:You will be a technically strong finance professional with excellent commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge, review and improve the work of others. You'll enjoy taking ownership, influencing stakeholders and working in a hands-on leadership environment.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion)
- Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Senior Accountant or similar
- Strong financial and management reporting expertise
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management capabilities
- Sound knowledge of Australian compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability
- Experience leading, coaching or mentoring finance teams
- A proactive mindset with an interest in systems, technology and process improvement
