Your new company
This is an opportunity to join a respected government organisation based in Cairns, supporting the delivery of building and infrastructure projects across the Far North Queensland region. The role sits within an infrastructure construction and maintenance environment, working closely with clients, stakeholders, contractors and internal project teams.

Your new role
As an AO6 Project Manager, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of building project delivery, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration and post-construction activities. You will help ensure projects are delivered in line with scope, time, cost, cash flow and quality expectations, while also supporting strong client outcomes and project profitability targets.In this role, you will work closely with clients on a day-to-day basis and coordinate the activities of project staff, external consultants, contractors, managers and other business units to achieve successful project outcomes. You will also provide contract coordination across traditional and non-traditional contract systems, support stakeholder negotiations and assist with monitoring project performance through reporting, audits and cost controls.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require project management experience, strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across a busy project environment. You will also need strong organisational and time management skills, demonstrated problem-solving ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.A commitment to workplace health and safety, familiarity with the FNQ region and a valid driving licence will be highly regarded.
