Architectural Draftsperson

• Draw and document new and ongoing interior and exterior architectural projects
• Prepare and interpret plans, preliminary sketches, working drawings and detailed specifications, ensuring that designs are feasible for implementation and cost-effective
• Demonstrate capability in conceptual design, construction and tender documentation
• Support the Design team and construction managers, architects and surveyors
• Communicate closely with internal teams
• Have an acute sense of management skills to take key initiatives and coordinate projects
• Be responsible for conducting on site measurement accurately and incorporating it into your designs
• Coordinate with the councils and clients for the CDC and OC approvals for the architectural design
• Have strong knowledge of Council controls and regulations and Australian Standards
• Be responsible for keeping a data base of existing and any new material/fixtures suppliers
• Coordinate with the in-house estimation and projects team for the successful delivery of the projects designed by the team.

Skills and Required Experience

You must have:

• At least Bachelor degree or a higher qualification
• Minimum one year experience working in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills to work with clients and team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
