Assistant Financial Controller

Permanent Full-Time Position | South Brisbane Location | $140,000 - $160,000 + Car + Super

Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting across multiple business units.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes, providing accurate analysis and insights to senior leadership.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance, strengthen controls and drive process efficiencies.
• Assist the Financial Controller with month-end, year-end, audit requirements, compliance obligations and ad hoc commercial projects.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:

• Previous experience within the automotive dealership industry is essential, with a strong understanding of dealership operations and financial reporting requirements.
• CA/CPA qualified (or near completion) with proven experience in a senior accounting, finance manager or assistant financial controller capacity.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including month-end reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting and audit support.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach, with the ability to build relationships across the business and drive process improvements
