Working within a small, high-performing Audit and Risk team, you will play a critical role in maintaining organisational integrity, strengthening risk management practices, and delivering a comprehensive audit program across a diverse stakeholder network. Your new role
Reporting to the Chief Audit and Risk Officer, you will support the development and delivery of audit, assurance, risk, fraud, and integrity initiatives across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering end-to-end operational audits, including planning, fieldwork, analysis, reporting, and follow-up activities
- Monitoring compliance and control frameworks across a complex operational network
- Managing audit findings and working collaboratively with stakeholders to implement improvements
- Supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Coordinating risk reporting and maintaining organisational risk registers
- Assisting with fraud prevention, integrity initiatives, and control monitoring activities
- Liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to provide assurance and drive best-practice outcomes
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and governance activities
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in audit, assurance, risk management, compliance, governance, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of operational audit methodologies, controls testing, risk assessment, and reporting processes
- Experience interpreting legislative, contractual, or regulatory requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Advanced written communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise reports
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience working with data, reporting systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Relevant qualifications in audit, risk, governance, accounting, or a related field will be highly regarded
