New name, familiar faces.

Avina might be a new name, but you may already know some of our teams. Therapy Pro, Adaptability Therapy and Tashacare have come together as Avina — one national allied health and behaviour support community with
400+ clinicians across NSW, QLD, VIC and SA.

We deliver Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics and Positive Behaviour Support across community, clinic and telehealth settings.

About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who is currently registered with the NDIS Commission at
Core level or above to join our team across Inner Sydney.

This is a fully mobile role, with flexibility to work across Marrickville, Ashfield, Bankstown, Canterbury and surrounding suburbs. You’ll manage your own schedule and work directly with participants in their homes and community environments, while staying connected to Avina’s broader Behaviour Support and multidisciplinary teams.

A quick note before you apply: For this particular vacancy, we’re looking for practitioners who already hold Core, Proficient, Advanced or Specialist practitioner status with the NDIS Commission. Unfortunately, we’re not able to consider entry-level or IBIS practitioners for this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver evidence-informed, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support
  • Complete functional behaviour assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans
  • Work closely with participants, families, carers and support networks
  • Deliver services across homes and community settings throughout Inner Sydney
  • Manage your own schedule with flexibility and autonomy
  • Collaborate with Behaviour Support and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Participate in supervision, peer learning and professional development

What We Offer

  • A fully mobile role across Inner Sydney
  • Flexibility and autonomy to structure your working day
  • Structured clinical supervision and support
  • Access to experienced Behaviour Support clinicians
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration and peer connection
  • Professional development and career progression
  • The resources and opportunities of a national organisation while remaining connected to a supportive clinical team

What You’ll Bring

  • Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability at Core level or above
  • Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS
  • Confidence completing functional behaviour assessments and Behaviour Support Plans
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while staying connected to a broader team
  • Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Full Australian working rights

At Avina, being mobile doesn’t mean working alone. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your day and work within your local area, while staying connected to experienced clinicians, supervision and a broader multidisciplinary team.

If you’re an experienced BSP looking for more flexibility and autonomy across Inner Sydney without losing clinical connection, we’d love to hear from you.
