About the role

The Boilermaker role is a Full-time position, based at Golden Grove, South Australia. Reporting to the Manager at our Bricks manufacturing site, you will be working Monday to Friday 6am-2pm assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work. You may be required to work the afternoon shift cover (2pm-10pm) from time to time for coverage.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Boilermaker Certificate, have good attendance and have a strong safety awareness.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Champion a safety-first culture within the factory in pursuit of a zero-harm environment ensuring to Never Walk Past.
  • Complete planned maintenance tasks.
  • Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
  • Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Supervisor.
  • Mechanical Fitting, maintenance related to conveyors, strappers, Kiln rails, extruder, bricks handling machinery, conveyors, bearings rollers etc.
  • Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill.
  • Exposure to Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabrication.
  • Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
