Job description
We are currently seeking experienced Sheetmetal Workers and Boilermakers to join a busy manufacturing environment working across a range of stainless-steel fabrication projects.
This is a great opportunity for skilled tradespeople with strong MIG and TIG welding experience who are looking for consistent hours, overtime opportunities and the potential to move into a permanent position.
The initial project is expected to run for approximately 5–6 weeks, with ongoing work available for the right candidates.
The Role You will be involved in:
- Stainless-steel fabrication and assembly
- MIG and TIG welding
- General sheetmetal and fabrication work
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Producing components to specification
- Quality checking completed work
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship
About You To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Trade qualification or strong relevant experience as a Sheetmetal Worker or Boilermaker
- Proven experience working with stainless steel
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills
- Previous fabrication and assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and professional work ethic
- Ability to work effectively within a team
Experience within food manufacturing, abattoirs, commercial kitchen equipment or similar stainless-steel fabrication environments will be highly regarded.
Hours & Pay
- $50 per hour casual + applicable penalties
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm + overtime
- Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
- Saturday work available
- Consistent hours and overtime opportunities
