Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing team.

This is a genuine new business role, focused on identifying opportunities, opening new accounts and building long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across Australia
• Prospect and secure new wholesale and distributor accounts
• Manage the complete sales process from lead generation through to closing
• Build strong long-term relationships with customers
• Identify opportunities for customised and OEM packaging solutions
• Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial agreements
• Work closely with production and customer service teams to deliver excellent outcomes
• Attend customer visits, trade shows and industry events

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Minimum 2 years’ B2B sales experience
• Previous experience within the food packaging, plastics, disposable packaging or FMCG packaging industry
• Existing relationships with distributors, wholesalers or food manufacturers (highly regarded)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of developing new business
• Ability to work independently and manage your own sales pipeline
