Our Client, SS Custom Kitchen - Saas Industries PTY LTD specialises in manufacturing custom kitchen cabinetry. We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team in Logan Village and assist with the manufacture, assembly and installation of quality cabinetry.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work orders to determine dimensions, materials and manufacturing requirements.
- Measure, mark, cut and shape timber, manufactured boards and other cabinetry materials.
- Operate woodworking machinery and tools safely and accurately.
- Manufacture and assemble kitchen cabinets, cupboards, drawers, shelving and other custom cabinetry.
- Fit hinges, handles, drawer runners and other hardware.
- Prepare surfaces and apply laminates, veneers, edging and finishes as required.
- Install cabinetry on site, ensuring correct alignment, secure fixing and a quality finish.
- Inspect completed work and carry out adjustments or repairs to meet specifications.
- Maintain tools, machinery and work areas, minimise material wastage and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with team members to complete projects within agreed timeframes.
Qualifications and experience
- Certificate III in Cabinet Making, Cabinet Making and Timber Technology, or an equivalent relevant tradequalification.
- At least One years of relevant cabinet making experience.
- Experience manufacturing and assembling custom kitchen cabinetry.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work accurately from measurements.
- Competence in operating woodworking machinery and using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
