Your new role
This is a unique opportunity for a CAD / Hardware Design Engineer to contribute across the full design lifecycle, combining hands-on 3D CAD expertise with broader hardware engineering and integration exposure.You will play a key role in the design, development, and validation of components and systems for complex land platforms, supporting both prototype and production environments.

Develop high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using Creo Parametric Design and validate mechanical and electrical components and subsystems for complex vehicle platforms Produce and maintain engineering documentation in line with standards and regulatory requirements Conduct tolerance analysis and support design optimisation to ensure manufacturability and performance Support prototyping, integration, testing, and validation activities Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated design solutions Manage CAD data, drawings, and configurations within PLM systems (e.g. Windchill)Ensure compliance with engineering standards, export controls, and security requirements

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in 3D CAD design (Creo Parametric preferred)
  • Experience in design and manufacturing environments (defence, automotive, or heavy vehicles advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials, and design principles
  • Experience with tolerance analysis and design validation
  • Work on highly secure, nationally significant defence programs
  • Exposure to advanced engineering and vehicle design technologies
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Strong long-term career pathways within the defence sector
