Carpenter

The purpose of the position is to carry out any onsite rectification work which needs to be performed & assist with the manufacture and assembly of Prenail frames with room for growth across all assembly areas.

• Day shift hours: Monday – Thursday 6am-2:30pm, Friday 6am-12pm

• Willingness and ability to follow precise instruction and work productively as a contributing team member
• Ordering and selecting materials and producing layouts to suit
• Erecting framework and roof framing
• Assembling prepared timber to form structures and fittings ready for install
• Repair existing productions on site
• Constructs concrete formwork
• Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
• Physically fit and able to do heavy lifting, whilst working in a safe manner
• Punctual and reliable, self-motivated, with a positive attitude
• Excellent eye for detail and commitment to quality control processes and continuous improvement
• Ability to process a significant workflow and maintain a respectful disposition, even when under pressure
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills and utilise them on the job, and/or undergo training as required
• Willing and able to complete additional hours as required, to ensure efficient work schedules can be adhered to
• Willingness to be versatile and help wherever necessary

The ideal candidate would have the experience with the following:

• Previous experience in a similar work environment
• Experienced with the use of power tools
• Carpenter
• Aptitude for construction or manufacturing work
• Ability to accurately use, read and interpret measuring equipment
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively while unsupervised and as a team member
• Understanding of operational requirements of plant and equipment

Qualifications

Certificate lll or equivalent qualification or 3 years work experience in lieu of qualifications.
