About the Position:

The Chef role is a key position within our kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef in producing high-end restaurant-standard food that consistently exceeds guest expectations. This full-time role involves menu development, quality control, team support, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations across lunch and dinner services, contributing directly to food profitability, service performance, and the overall reputation of the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in the production of high-end restaurant standard food that exceeds customers’ expectations across all areas of the venue.

Recommend changes to food products where necessary and use market research and feedback to develop new products for seasonal menu changes.

Maintain food quality and ensure consistency in food delivery, timing, and standards.

Support team goals around food profitability and service performance.

Assist in the implementation of planned seasonal changes to all aspects of the menu and monitor the effectiveness of the menu, introducing changes in response to the marketplace.

Maintain a high standard of grooming, including uniform maintenance.

Maintain health and safety requirements and conduct regular maintenance checks on all equipment in accordance with the Health and Safety Act.

Maintain and account for all equipment, including cookware, flatware, and glassware.

Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.

Requirements:

Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and Diploma of Hospitality.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Strong technical skills in high-volume restaurant cookery, menu development, food cost control, and kitchen equipment maintenance, together with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene, and customer service.
