About Our Client
Our Client is a construction and engineering company that works on major infrastructure projects in Queensland and New South Wales. They provide services for roads, rail, water, aviation, mining, and urban development.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Civil Labourer/Roller Operator you will be working 8.5 9.5 hour days Monday-Friday with 6:30AM starts. You will be required to do the following;
- Operate smooth drum and multi-tyred rollers to compact road base, subgrade, asphalt and other pavement materials in accordance with project specifications.
- Assist civil crews with general labouring duties including trenching, backfilling, site preparation, pipe laying support, shovelling and site clean-up.
- Work alongside surveyors and supervisors to achieve required compaction levels, pavement thicknesses and finished surface levels.
- Spot plant and machinery to ensure the safe operation of excavators, graders, loaders and trucks within the work zone.
- Assist with road construction, subdivision works, kerb and channel installation, and pavement preparation activities.
What You Will Need:
- White Card
- Drivers Licence + reliable transport
- Roller ticket (RII)
- Previous civil or construction experience
- Previous experience operating roller
