Civil Supervisor

Excellent opportunity for a Civil Supervisor to work on key Defence infrastructure projects in the NT!

Your new company
Our client, a successful national company specialising in Civil Construction, is recruiting an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to lead the on-site delivery of Defence infrastructure projects in Darwin and the Northern Territory. The projects involve excavation, bulk earthworks, road works, concreting and surfacing works, storm water drainage, water and sewer main infrastructure works.

Your new role
As a Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations on site and ensuring the works are delivered according to the client and companys standards of quality and safety, on time and to budget. The role is based on site, either in Darwin for town-based projects, or on a DIDO roster for remote projects.
Your key responsibilities will be:

• Manage the team and oversee all activity on site to maximise site production and execute the defined work within program and budget constraints.
• Ensure that the Tradesmen and Subcontractors follow the operations schedule and program and that their work meets quality requirements.
• Ensure that all OHS policies and procedures are adhered to and monitor a safe work culture within the work teams.
• Proactively resolve on-site issues.
• Report to management regarding on-site activity and prepare regular scheduling reports.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role working on Civil infrastructure projects in Australia.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents and project drawings.
• Experience with subcontract management.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident and eligible to obtain a DCAC.
