Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking an experienced classroom teacher to join our welcoming and collaborative school community.

Teachers at St Mary’s design and deliver high-quality, evidence-informed learning programs aligned with the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement. They are committed to supporting the academic, spiritual, social and emotional growth of every student while creating engaging learning environments characterised by high expectations, positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging.

As a Catholic school, our teachers model the values of faith, hope and love and build respectful, positive partnerships with students, families and colleagues. They use data and evidence to inform teaching, respond to individual learning needs and ensure all students are appropriately supported and challenged. Our teachers foster curiosity, creativity and confidence, equipping students with the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to become successful lifelong learners.

Experience in the following areas is preferred, but not essential:

• Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
• InitiaLit
• Explicit Instruction

We are looking for an educator who is enthusiastic, collaborative and committed to contributing positively to the learning, wellbeing and Catholic identity of our school community.

This is a fixed-term position with the possibility of becoming ongoing in 2028.
