Laser Operator – Afternoon Shift
$36 – $40 per hour | Brisbane | Full-Time

The Opportunity
The preferred opportunity is for an Afternoon Shift Laser Operator, making this ideal for candidates who prefer afternoon/evening work.
Morning Shift opportunities are also available for candidates who prefer standard daytime hours.
You'll join an experienced production team working across a variety of sheet metal and manufacturing projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency.

About the Role
As a Laser Operator, you'll be responsible for operating CNC laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality components to customer and production requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating CNC laser cutting machinery.
- Loading and unloading sheet metal.
- Setting up machines and selecting appropriate programs.
- Monitoring cutting processes and machine performance.
- Performing quality checks on finished components.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Identifying and reporting any quality or production issues.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Working closely with the production and programming teams.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience operating a CNC laser cutting machine.
- Experience within sheet metal manufacturing or fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- A reliable and hardworking attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with TRUMPF, LVD or similar CNC laser equipment will be highly regarded.
Afternoon Shift is preferred, however morning shift opportunities are also available.
