About the Role:

Are you a skilled Industrial Spray Painter with solid experience in two-pack spray painting heavy-duty equipment? Our client, a well-established truck, trailer and dumper truck body manufacturer in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, is seeking a qualified Spray Painter to join their production team.

This is a hands-on role where quality, efficiency and pride in your work are valued. You will play a key part in ensuring finished builds are durable, precise and visually exceptional.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and mask truck chassis, trailer bodies and dumper truck components to production standards.
2. Colour-match and accurately mix paints in line with build specifications.
3. Apply primer and high-quality finishing coats using HVLP spray gun systems (two-pack).
4. Read and interpret workshop drawings, blueprints, and build sheets.
5. Prioritise workloads to meet production deadlines.
6. Work independently or as part of a production team when required.
7. Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment.

What We’re Looking For: To be successful in this role, you must have:

✔ At least 3 years’ experience in industrial two-pack spray painting — ideally on truck trailers, chassis, agricultural or heavy equipment.

✔ Proven experience with heavy-duty vehicle components or large-format builds.

✔ A valid Spray Painter Trade Qualification.

✔ Current right to work in Australia and based in Melbourne, VIC.

✔ Two recent reference contacts (from past employers).

✔ Excellent attention to detail and a quality-driven approach.

✔ Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
