What you’ll be doing

The Community Connector role is a community-focused position that supports local programs aimed at improving health, wellbeing, social inclusion, and community capacity building within social housing communities. The role involves working directly with tenants, volunteers, and partner organisations to plan, coordinate, and deliver group-based activities that respond to local needs. It also includes supporting volunteers, helping with basic administration and reporting, and contributing to program evaluation and continuous improvement. Overall, it’s a hands-on community engagement role that combines program delivery, volunteer coordination, and strong communication, with a focus on creating inclusive, safe, and connected communities.
What we’re looking for

  • Experience in community, social or health program delivery
  • Experience working with or supporting volunteers or groups
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and run community activities
  • Able to work independently and manage priorities
  • Understanding of inclusive, culturally respectful practice
  • Basic awareness of WHS and safe work practices
  • Police Check + Working With Children Check (required)
  • Qualification in community services or related field
