We're seeking a Community Property Advisor to join our team and help manage a diverse portfolio of land and property assets that support community organisations, public services and local infrastructure across the Sutherland Shire.

In this role, you'll lead a broad range of property projects and transactions, helping to ensure Council's assets are managed effectively, sustainably and for long-term community benefit. From leases and licences to acquisitions, disposals, Crown land matters and strategic property initiatives, you'll enjoy a varied and rewarding role with the opportunity to make a tangible impact.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll contribute to the management of Council's community and Crown land assets, build strong relationships with community organisations and stakeholders, and help deliver positive outcomes for the Sutherland Shire community.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing Council's diverse property portfolio
  • Leading lease and licence drafting and negotiations across Council and Crown Land
  • Providing expert property advice to internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing statutory property matters and compliance
  • Supporting sustainable use of community assets
  • Building relationships with community, government and industry stakeholders
  • Managing right of ways, easement transactions and road leases

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification/s in Land/ Property Economics, Property Management, Valuation, Planning or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in property management including leasing functions, coordinating maintenance works, routine inspections and rent reconciliations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A sound understanding of property legislation, governance and compliance requirements.
  • The ability to confidently manage complex property matters while balancing community, commercial and strategic outcomes.

  • Interview date: Interviews will be facilitated within 2 weeks of job ad closing.
  • Package: $103,552 - $109,766 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Working 35 hours per week. You will have the option of a 19 day month with Council's ADO system (Accrued Day Off).
