Talent World, on behalf of ACT Homes Pty Ltd, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of residential construction projects.
You will manage projects end-to-end, overseeing schedules, budgets, resources, contractors and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards. Working closely with architects, engineers, suppliers and internal teams, you will coordinate documentation, contracts, approvals, variations and compliance requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a proactive professional with strong construction knowledge, proven project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing comprehensive project plans that encompass schedules, budgets and resource allocation. Collaborating with architects, engineers, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure timely and budget compliant achievement of project milestones.
- Monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow to ascertain financial viability and profitability. Identifying avenues for cost reduction and implementing strategies to optimise project expenses while maintaining quality standards.
- Upholding high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations and safety protocols. Conducting regular inspections and quality assessments to guarantee that construction work aligns with or exceeds client expectations.
- Identifying potential risks and formulating mitigations strategies to minimise disruptions and delays. Addressing issues proactively and implementing contingency plans to keep projects on course.
- Providing guidance, motivation, and support to project team, including construction crews, subcontractors, and auxiliary staff. Ensuring team members are aligned with project objectives and goals.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates, address client inquiries and foster open communication channels to nurture positive relationships and enhance client satisfaction.
- Maintaining meticulous project documentation, encompassing contracts, permits, change order and progress reports. Generating comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and clients to monitor project performance.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor degree or higher equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, WHS requirements and relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated experience managing construction projects, contractors and subcontractors from planning through to completion.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, variations and contracts, including negotiation with suppliers and service providers.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
