The Opportunity

ECi Executive is partnering with a number of established civil, infrastructure, construction and mining contractors across WA who are strengthening their Perth-based commercial teams.

We’re looking to speak with experienced Contracts Administrators and Quantity Surveyors who want to build their commercial capability across significant WA projects within the civil infrastructure, MRWA, PTA, mining, energy and NPI sectors.

These opportunities offer exposure to complex contracts, major project delivery and experienced commercial teams, with genuine scope to develop into senior commercial and contract management positions.

The Role

Reporting to a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual performance of projects from pre-contract through to final account.

Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:

  • Administering head contracts and subcontract packages
  • Preparing, negotiating and awarding subcontract agreements
  • Managing client and subcontractor variations
  • Preparing and assessing progress claims
  • Managing extensions of time and contractual notices
  • Cost planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Measuring and valuing completed works
  • Preparing cost reports and monitoring project financial performance
  • Procurement and purchase order management
  • Maintaining commercial registers, RFIs and contract documentation
  • Identifying and managing contractual and commercial risk
  • Supporting final accounts and project closeout
  • Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project delivery teams

About You

We’re interested in speaking with commercial professionals who have:

  • Experience as a Contracts Administrator, Senior Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment
  • Project exposure across civil infrastructure, MRWA, PTA, mining, energy, industrial or NPI projects
  • Strong understanding of contracts, commercial risk and contractual obligations
  • Experience with subcontract administration, variations, progress claims and cost reporting
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
