Blue Lake Bar & Bistro is looking for a reliable and experienced Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team.
About the Role
We are seeking someone who is passionate about food, works well under pressure, and can maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation in a busy hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to the menu and recipes.
- Complete daily food preparation and mise en place.
- Ensure meals are prepared and presented to a high standard.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Manage orders efficiently during busy service periods.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and wastage.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Assist with stock control and kitchen cleaning duties.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
