Cost Controller | Alkimos | 6 Months

Your new company
A major contractor delivering a project in Alkimos is looking for a cost controller to join its site team. This is a 6 month assignment with an immediate start. You will be part of the project team from your first week, working alongside the commercial and project staff on site.

Your new role
You will control and report on project costs the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant, part of a $2.8 billion water program for WA, working onsite 40 hours a week. Day to day, this includes:

• Preparing monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Tracking budgets against actual costs and reporting variances
• Processing and reviewing subcontractor claims and payments
• Assessing and recording variations
• Preparing cost to complete and commercial reporting for the project team
• Entering and reconciling data in the project’s bespoke accounting systems

About you
The client will consider both senior and mid-level cost controllers, depending on experience. We are seeking a candidate with:

• 5+ years of cost control experience on civil or construction projects
• Experience with bespoke cost and accounting systems, which is well regarded
• Confidence working independently and reporting accurately to a project team
• Availability to start ASAP and work onsite in Alkimos

What’s on offer

• 6 month casual contract
• Rate: $75-95/hour, experience-dependent
• Onsite, 40 hours a week
