We are looking for dedicated and personable Customer Service Staff to join our team supporting the Spring Racing Carnival for 2026. Multiple temporary assignments are available, every application will be considered.
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking and processing bets, operating wagering terminals, overseeing EBT machines, and handling cash transactions. This is not a food and beverage assignment.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Taking and processing bets accurately and efficiently
- Operating wagering terminals and 'stand alone' EBT machines
- Overseeing cash handling procedures and reconciliation
- Resolving customer inquiries and issues in a timely and effective manner
- Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times
- Promoting a safe and inclusive environment for customers and colleagues

Day-to-day
- Greeting customers and assisting with their betting needs
- Processing bet slips and transactions accurately
- Monitoring and maintaining wagering terminals and EBT machines
- Resolving customer inquiries and providing information about betting options
- Adhering to cash handling procedures and maintaining a tidy work area
- Collaborating with team members to ensure a positive customer experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash and perform basic math calculations (not required for all roles)
- Proficiency in operating wagering terminals and EBT machines is an asset (desirable)
- Knowledge of responsible gambling practices is (preferred)
- Must be over the age of 18
- Be available to work all 4 race days and 2 in-person training sessions.
