Why this role exists

When we say our purpose is “to make technology real”, it’s our Professional Services team who are key to ensuring we deliver on this promise. Helping our customers on their journey to realise tangible business outcomes is our goal & aim.
As our Cyber Security Operations Analysts Team Lead, you will lead and coordinate security operations within our Cyber Security Operations Centre. You understand how to detect, respond, and remediate security threats, have a good grasp of technology and the components that underpin modern ICT environments, and are comfortable working with a wide range of technology. You have a strong interest in cyber security and emerging technologies, and combined with your strong problem-solving abilities, people leadership skills and excellent organisational and communication skills you support a small, multidisciplinary technical operations team

What You Bring

As part of the Cyber Security Practice, this role collaborates closely with the SOC Manager, SOC Lead, Engineering Lead and other teams across the Practice and technical operations to deliver high-quality cyber security services to our customers. Taking a proactive and collaborative approach, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of your assigned SOC Analyst team, ensuring the effective delivery of SOC services, including vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, detection engineering and reporting, alongside other security-related activities and vendor solutions.

You will mentor and coach junior team members, manage on-call and operational rosters, lead the technical response to security incidents, drive operational improvement initiatives, and serve as a technical escalation point within the SOC.

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with hands-on experience in security operations technologies, including Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, and similar platforms, along with a working knowledge of NIST frameworks. You will bring a practical, technically focused approach to problem-solving, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and effective incident resolution.
