Temporary Data and Finance Administrator

Your new company
A well-established contracting and services company is seeking a data and finance administrator to join their finance team in their Crestmead office. This is a temporary assignment, offering flexible working hours and days.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for reviewing and improving financial data accuracy, supporting reporting processes, and assisting with data cleansing and reconciliation projects across multiple business divisions.
Key Responsibilities Include

  • Analysing and validating financial data across the general ledger, balance sheet, and divisional reporting structures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Investigating and resolving historical data discrepancies, reporting issues, and account anomalies within Xero and related systems.
  • Reviewing and reconciling financial records, including fuel management data and historical BAS returns, to maintain reporting integrity.
  • Supporting month-end reporting activities, cost centre realignments, and the implementation of standardised reporting processes.
  • Partnering with the finance team on data cleansing, process improvement, reporting enhancements, and financial control initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and data analysis functions.
  • Previous experience using Xero and working with financial reconciliations and reporting
  • Experience supporting finance projects, data cleansing, or process improvement initiatives
  • Understanding of cost allocation, cost centres, and financial reporting, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
