About Our Client

Perth Airport is Australia's Western Hub connecting the people, businesses and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, Perth Airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social and cultural benefits to West Australians.

Perth Airport is investing more than $5 billion in new infrastructure to support airline partners to grow, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience.

Over the coming decade Perth Airport will expand T1 International, and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and the first airport hotel, representing the largest aviation infrastructure redevelopment in the Southern Hemisphere.

Job Description

You will act as a key integrator across design, construction, commissioning, operations readiness, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective delivery while minimising disruption to live airport operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Portfolio Governance & Delivery: Support the Director in governing a complex program portfolio, applying structured methodologies to assure outcomes while managing risk and minimising disruption in a brownfield environment.

* Technical Leadership & Assurance: Provide technical oversight across design, constructability, integration, commissioning, and handover; translate technical risks into clear decisions and ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory standards. * Project Scope Definition: Lead stakeholder consultation, information gathering, and scoping activities; negotiate and agree deliverables, requirements, success criteria, and acceptance standards to ensure integration and alignment across concurrent programs and BAU work.

* Business Planning & Budgeting: Prepare and monitor annual plans for the delivery function; forecast resources and costs; manage variances; integrate KPIs and efficiency measures to meet financial governance requirements and performance targets. * Frameworks & Processes: Establish, maintain, and continuously improve governance frameworks, tools, templates, and reporting mechanisms; standardise delivery practices across teams; enable transparent, data-driven decision-making and effective stage-gate control.

* Performance Monitoring: Implement robust metrics and dashboards to track cost, schedule, risk, safety, quality, and compliance; lead performance reviews; drive corrective actions; ensure lessons learned and best practices are captured and reused across projects.

* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and execute stakeholder strategies for internal leaders, airlines/tenants, delivery partners/contractors, regulators, and the community; maintain alignment and timely communication; manage complex interfaces in live operations and negotiate outcomes that balance commercial, operational, and customer impacts. * Risk, Issues & Dependencies: Proactively identify, assess, and manage delivery risks, constraints, and interdependencies; implement mitigation and recovery plans consistent with Perth Airport's risk frameworks; ensure resilience planning for critical cutovers and operational change.

* Resource & Commercial Management: Oversee deployment of budgets, people, and contractors; align procurement and contract strategies with delivery needs; ensure commercial discipline, variation control, and claims management within governance thresholds.

* Assurance & Compliance: Manage assurance reviews and audits; resolve findings promptly; provide confidence that programs meet scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.

* Values, Safety & Customer Focus: Champion Perth Airport's values and safety culture; embed customer-centric practices; uphold governance and compliance in all live operational works.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of strategic leadership, cultural influence, and commercial acumen, with the following competencies:

* Strategic Mindset: Ability to anticipate future challenges and translate them into actionable strategies for large-scale delivery, balancing long-term vision with operational realities.

* Multi-Lens Perspective: Brings a holistic view to decision-making, considering financial, operational, cultural, and stakeholder dimensions to deliver sustainable outcomes.

* Stakeholder Management in Brownfield Delivery: Expertise in managing diverse stakeholders and navigating operational constraints in live environments while delivering major infrastructure upgrades.

* Commercial Acumen: Strong financial insight and ability to manage large-scale budgets, contractual frameworks, and governance requirements.

* Inclusive Leadership & Cultural Impact: A collaborative and empowering leader who fosters a high-performance culture, champions diversity of thought, and inspires teams.

* Adaptability & Collaboration: Ability to navigate complex organisational dynamics, lead through change, and build strong partnerships across internal and external stakeholders.

* Value Creation: Demonstrated ability to add strategic and cultural value beyond project delivery, influencing organisational growth and capability development.
