About the role

We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join a Community and Stakeholder Engagement Team within a large public-sector organisation.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality communication and engagement materials, working closely with project teams to develop creative collateral for infrastructure and community-focused projects.

You will also work closely with the organisation's Strategic Communication and Engagement Creative team to share learnings, maintain brand consistency and contribute to the development of creative ideas.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing a range of communication collateral in line with corporate brand guidelines and standards, including:

  • Newsletters
  • Project and informational signage
  • Educational and community signage
  • Planning and summary documents
  • Project plans and maps
  • Detour and traffic maps
  • Banners and large-format materials
  • Other corporate and marketing collateral as required

The role will involve collaborating with communication, engagement and project delivery teams and managing multiple design projects and competing deadlines.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design across print and digital channels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience designing communication collateral for infrastructure, construction, transport or community projects.
  • A strong understanding of brand governance and the ability to apply corporate style guidelines.
  • Experience preparing artwork for production across signage, publications, maps and large-format materials.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with communication, engagement and project delivery teams.
  • Experience working within government or a large, complex organisation will be highly regarded.
