About the company:
Bannister Downs is a vertically integrated Dairy business that produces milk and creates products for Australian and overseas markets. Bannister Downs is located in Northcliffe, Western Australia approx 350 km south of Perth, operating across several farming sites in the south west of Western Australia and including conventional and robotic dairy systems.
Employment Responsibilities
- Oversee dairy herd management to a high standard, including calf rearing
- Manage budgeting requirements and Quality Assurance Systems
- Lead the team effectively within the organisation
- Organising farming operations and routines such as catching, drenching and milking livestock, sterilising machines, and collecting, grading and packaging produce
- Organising the sale, purchase and transportation of livestock and produce
- Breeding and raising livestock for the production of honey, meat, milk, skins, eggs and wool
- Operate and manage a workplace safely
Skills, experience and qualifications
- A bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least 5 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
- Relevant experience may also be required.
Licenses
- Current driver's licence
- Coxswain or marine licence an advantage
- AI Technician Certificate
