About the Client
Our client is a specialist civil construction contractor delivering utility infrastructure and maintenance projects across the water, sewer and stormwater sectors. They undertake projects ranging from routine maintenance through to complex infrastructure works, with a strong focus on safety, quality and reliable project delivery.
Hours:
You will be required to work Monday Friday starting at 6:30am and working 9 hour days
What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will be conducting poly welding duties on a range of civil sites and must be comfortable with travelling to sites around Brisbane.
- Completing PE poly welding on 63mm 60mm pipes including butt welding and electrofusion welding
- Ensuring proper alignment, clamping, facing (planning) and heating of pipe ends.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings based on pipe size, wall thickness, and environmental conditions.
- Checking weld quality on each job
- Working with pipe fitters, operators and supervisors and assisting with drainage and pipe labouring when required
What You Will Need
- Drivers licence and reliable transport
- Previous experience with PE poly welding - specifically with pipes
- Experience using McElory equipment (highly desirable)
- Construction White Card
- Butt weld and electrofusion PMB tickets
