Senior Power BI Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Engineer with strong technical capabilities and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, strong SQL skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective data models, dashboards, and analytics solutions. Experience working on AI-related initiatives or integrating AI capabilities into data and reporting solutions will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business decision-making.
- Build and optimise data models, datasets, and reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data from various sources.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain data transformation processes and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and optimise Power BI reports, data models, and queries to improve performance and usability.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business users to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly analytics solutions.
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve reporting, insights, and business processes.
Key Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including its data and analytics capabilities.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing, troubleshooting, and optimising complex queries.
- Ability to gather business requirements and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working across both development and business-facing activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering actionable business insights.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, generative AI, or AI-enabled analytics solutions will be highly regarded.
