Summary

Our client SA National Football League Inc, operating Mosaic Hotel in the heart of West Lakes, is seeking to add a Commis Chef to its hospitality team. Mosaic Hotel is a popular local venue known for supporting South Australian producers and offering quality dining, bar, beer garden and function experiences.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.

• Assist with food preparation, cooking and day-to-day kitchen operations.

• Maintain consistent food quality, portion control and presentation standards.

• Assist with the preparation and service of food during busy service periods.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and work area.

• Assist with stock rotation, storage, ingredient handling and minimising food wastage.

• Work collaboratively with chefs and other kitchen staff to support efficient service.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

• Relevant commercial cookery qualification, such as Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent.

• Minimum 12 months’ relevant experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and cook menu items to required quality and presentation standards.

• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling requirements.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy kitchen team.

• Availability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
