Cloud DevOps Engineer- GCP and Azure- Major Bank
- Design and operate cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure, including GKE and AKS Kubernetes platforms.
- Build infrastructure automation and CI/CD workflows using Terraform and Git-based processes, applying cloud security and governance practices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud platform reliability while collaborating with engineering, security and application teams in an enterprise environment.

A major bank is currently seeking a GCP Cloud Devops Engineer with Azure to join their team. This is a 12 month contract likely to extend. The role can be based out of Sydney or Melbourne and the team work 2 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules and automated provisioning.
- Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes platforms, including GKE and AKS.
- Implement cloud platform automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure deployment workflows.
- Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, reliability, and operational health.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with platform engineering, DevOps, security, and application teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
- Contribute to cloud governance, operational standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills / Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core infrastructure services.
- Strong Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and platform services.
- Cloud landing zones, platform engineering frameworks, and enterprise cloud governance.
- Advanced Terraform
- Kubernetes experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, observability, and high availability.
- Experience working in large-scale, enterprise or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and automated security controls.
- Relevant GCP or Azure cloud certifications.
