Restaurant Manager

Tracey Michelle McFarlane T/A Subway Merredin is looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining Subway's operational standards, and managing staff, stock, sales and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing the daily operations of the restaurant and ensuring efficient service delivery.
2. Planning and coordinating restaurant operations, including staffing, food preparation and customer service.
3. Recruiting, training, supervising and rostering restaurant staff.
4. Monitoring employee performance and ensuring staff comply with workplace policies and procedures.
5. Ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and customer service.
6. Managing stock levels, ordering food, beverages and other restaurant supplies.
7. Monitoring inventory and minimising wastage.
8. Managing restaurant budgets, operational costs and financial performance.
9. Reviewing sales performance and implementing strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
10. Ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety and relevant regulatory requirements.
11. Handling customer enquiries and resolving complaints in a professional manner.
12. Coordinating promotional activities and implementing Subway marketing campaigns and special offers.
13. Maintaining restaurant equipment, facilities and presentation standards.
14. Liaising with suppliers and other service providers where required.
15. Ensuring compliance with Subway franchise procedures, policies and brand standards.

Skills and Experience:

1. Relevant diploma or adv diploma in hospitality. Adequate experience may be acceptable in lieu of formal qualifications.
2. Previous experience in restaurant, fast-food or hospitality management is highly desirable.
3. Strong leadership and staff management skills.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
6. Good understanding of stock control, rostering, budgeting and restaurant operations.
7. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.
