Permanent Full-Time Position

$78,000 - $85,000 + Super (depending on experience)
Monday - Friday
7:00am - 3:30pm
 
Our client is a well-established, growing, family-owned business supplying the swimming pool industry Australia-wide. They are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team and take responsibility for a broad range of bookkeeping and accounts functions.
Based at their in Welshpool headquarters, this is a hands-on role working closely with the finance and operations teams. The position would suit someone who enjoys variety, enjoys a supportive, fun work environment, takes pride in accuracy and is confident managing their own workload.
 
Job Duties:
This role will be responsible for managing a broad range of accounting functions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing accounts receivable functions with some accounts payable functions when needed
  • Conducting debt collection calls and following up outstanding payments
  • Preparing and submitting BAS accurately and on schedule
  • Processing payroll efficiently and accurately
  • Reconciling financial statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Providing general finance and administration support as required

 
To Be Successful:

  • Proven experience in a broad bookkeeping role, including debt collection
  • Sound knowledge of BAS, payroll and general accounting principles
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new accounting software (Online Advantage or Pronto experience is highly desirable)
  • Previous experience using Xero (highly regarded)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience or formal qualifications
