An exciting opportunity has opened up with a fast-growing Australian retail brand for an experienced and passionate People Partner to join their People & Culture team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who genuinely loves partnering with leaders, developing people and creating incredible team environments. You’ll work closely with leaders across a growing, multi-site business, helping them navigate everything from performance and development through to organisational change, employee relations and future workforce needs.

It’s a broad, hands-on partnering role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact - balancing the day-to-day realities of a fast-moving retail environment with the bigger picture of building brilliant leaders, high-performing teams and an incredible culture.

What you’ll be doing

• Building strong relationships with leaders across the business, becoming a trusted People & Culture partner they can genuinely lean on
• Coaching and developing leaders across performance, feedback, leadership capability and team effectiveness
• Supporting leaders through employee relations matters, providing practical, considered and commercially minded guidance
• Helping shape teams for future growth through workforce planning, succession, internal development and organisational change
• Partnering with leaders to identify great talent, develop high performers and create meaningful career pathways across the business
• Supporting performance and development initiatives that help both individuals and teams continue to grow
• Bringing a strong understanding of employment legislation, awards and workplace practices to ensure leaders feel confident navigating people decisions
• Using people insights and trends to identify opportunities around engagement, retention, performance and culture
• Contributing to People & Culture projects, processes and systems as the business continues to evolve and scale
• Being a genuine champion of the culture, helping ensure the employee experience keeps pace with the growth of the brand

What we’re looking for

• Around 3+ years' experience within a generalist People & Culture, HR Business Partner or People Partner role
• Ideally experience within retail, fashion, activewear, lifestyle, hospitality or another fast-paced consumer environment
• Strong experience coaching and influencing leaders, with the confidence to build trusted relationships across different levels of a business
• Hands-on experience across employee relations, performance management and workplace matters
• A good understanding of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and employment contracts
• Exposure to workforce planning, organisational change, succession or talent development
• Commercially minded — someone who understands the connection between people, performance and business outcomes
• Confident using people data and insights to identify trends and support decision-making
• Warm, emotionally intelligent and people-first, while still being comfortable having the tough conversations when needed
• Adaptable, resilient and excited by an environment where things move quickly and there is always plenty happening
