007 Senior Supervisor Mackay

An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Supervisor to join a high-performing government infrastructure team. This role will support the delivery of housing upgrades, high-cost vacant property remediations, fire restoration works, demolition projects and housing construction activities, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.Based in Mackay, this position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse project portfolio while managing contractors, stakeholders and project outcomes that directly support Queensland communities.
Your new role.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of residential construction, remediation and maintenance projects. You will be responsible for supervising contractors, monitoring project performance and ensuring works comply with relevant legislation, policies and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing housing upgrade and refurbishment projects from commencement through to completion
• Coordinating high-cost vacant property remediation works
• Supervising demolition, fire recovery and housing construction projects
• Monitoring contractor performance, project timelines and budgets
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
• Providing project updates and reporting on delivery outcomes
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinating multiple projects within a fast-paced operational environment
• Identifying and mitigating project risks and delivery challenges
• Supporting continuous improvement across project delivery activities

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience supervising construction, maintenance, housing or infrastructure projects and the ability to effectively manage contractors and stakeholders.You will also possess:

• Current Driver Licence (mandatory)
• Experience supervising construction, maintenance or housing-related projects
• Strong contractor management and coordination skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
• Sound knowledge of project delivery and construction practices
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting systems
• A commitment to safety, quality and customer service outcomes
