An opportunity has arisen for an experienced risk professional to join a major financial services organisation on a high-profile contract focused on insider risk, governance and control uplift.
This role sits within a specialist integrity and risk function and will play a key role in strengthening the organisation's approach to preventing, detecting and responding to insider threats. Working across multiple business functions, you will lead enterprise-wide risk assessments, review existing control environments and develop the frameworks required to support a consistent and effective approach to insider risk management.
This is a highly visible position that will see you engage with senior stakeholders across risk, cybersecurity, people & culture, third party risk, investigations and operational teams.
Your new role
- Lead a comprehensive assessment of the current insider risk and control environment across the organisation.
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide Insider Risk Framework.
- Identify control gaps and opportunities to strengthen prevention, detection and response capabilities.
- Partner with stakeholders across risk, cyber, people & culture, third party risk, investigations and business functions.
- Support governance and approval processes through the development of clear frameworks, standards and supporting documentation.
- Facilitate workshops, risk assessments and stakeholder discussions to build alignment and drive outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives relating to internal fraud, insider threats and broader integrity risks.
- Support the delivery of a future roadmap that may include implementation and uplift activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience developing enterprise risk frameworks, governance models or risk management programmes within a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, non-financial risk, risk and controls, governance or enterprise risk management.
- Experience conducting large-scale risk assessments and evaluating control environments.
- Ability to engage and influence a broad range of senior stakeholders and navigate complex organisational structures.
- Strong project leadership skills and the ability to drive outcomes in an ambiguous environment.
- Exposure to insider risk, fraud risk, financial crime, investigations, integrity, security governance or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
- Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, consulting or another highly regulated environment is preferred.
- Available to commence at short notice.
