Your new role
As a Traffic & Transport Permits Officer, you will be responsible for assessing, issuing and regulating a range of traffic-related permits associated with construction and building activities within the road reserve. You will review permit applications, assess traffic impacts, undertake site inspections, interpret Traffic Management Plans and liaise with contractors, consultants, developers and internal stakeholders. This role offers a combination of technical assessment, stakeholder engagement and permit administration within a busy local government environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience assessing permits, development applications, traffic management plans or related infrastructure applications.
  • Understanding of roads, traffic management and construction activities within the road corridor.
  • Experience interpreting legislation, policies and procedures and applying them to decision-making processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
