Though our labour‑hire positions are casual, many team members work full‑time hours at enhanced pay rates – benefiting from casual loading, penalty rates, and “above-award” arrangements – while enjoying the flexibility to choose when and where they work.

The Role:

We are currently urgently seeking multiple staff to be inducted to assist with multiple shift requests per week in the Springfield Lakes area.

We’re seeking casual Therapeutic Residential Youth Workers to join ProCare Australia’s experienced Labour Hire Youth Worker pool, partnering with our valued clients to deliver high-quality support and care for young people in residential settings

In this role, you’ll support young people facing complex trauma and attachment challenges, guided by an evidence-informed framework that integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, and trauma‑informed principles. You’ll be supported by ProCare Australia’s experienced team and our Clients who are committed to supporting you and delivering meaningful outcomes for the youth in Residential care.

While casual employment doesn’t guarantee a minimum number of hours, many of our team members work full time hours thanks to strong demand.

Shifts will be offered according to your preferences, skills and experience. Residential Youth Workers must have availability for sleepover shifts and weekend shifts

Applicants should ideally hold at least 2-3 days of availability per week.

Pay Rates & Benefits:

  • Minimum Hourly Rate of $52.08 – $58.38 per hour
  • Weekday Night rate of $58.32 – $65.38 per hour
  • Saturday rate of $72.91 – $81.73 per hour
  • Sunday rate of $93.74 – $105.08 per hour
  • Public holiday rate of $114.57 – $128.43 per hour
  • Sleepover allowance of $106.72
  • Plus 12% Superannuation
  • QLeave available for qualifying employees
  • Paid Induction

To Be Successful: 

  • Applicants must understand trauma and attachment theories, and have proven experience supporting young people who have experienced complex trauma and exhibit pain-based behaviours
  • Completed Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field
  • Hope and Healing Certificate
  • Experience as a Residential Youth Worker is essential (12 months minimum)
  • Deep understanding of the Child Protection Act 1999 (Standards of Care), Child Safe Organisations Act 2024, Charter of Rights and Hope and Healing Framework
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to craft clear, concise shift notes and thoroughly detailed incident reports
  • Current Australian Driver’s License 
  • Current Blue Card (Paid)
  • Current National Police Check (Within 12 Months)
  • Current First Aid (completed within the last 3 years) and CPR Certificate (completed within the last 12 months)
  • A vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance
  • Regular availability for day, sleepover and weekend shifts

Desirable:

  • Current LCS2 Clearance
  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained
  • NDIS Worker Screening
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid
  • Experience working with Indigenous and CALD clients
