The Halls Gap village centre is only a short walk from the Country Plaza and so it makes an ideal base for sightseeing. The Country Plaza Halls Gap is a comfortably appointed property with 51 rooms and is officially rated 3½ stars by Star Ratings Australia. We are looking for an experienced and competent Service Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will report to the Director and work closely with our team to deliver outstanding customer service, manage the property, and drive sales initiatives.

Position: Full-time

Salary: $80000 - $85000 per year

Tasks & responsibilities:

Managing daily hotel service operations, ensuring efficient coordination of guest services and maintaining established service standards.

Supervising front office, housekeeping, and guest service activities to ensure smooth and timely delivery of hotel services.

Coordinating staff duties, allocating daily work schedules, and monitoring employee performance to maintain operational efficiency.

Assisting in managing guest arrivals, departures, reservations, and enquiries while ensuring professional and courteous service.

Monitoring housekeeping activities, room presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance requirements to maintain accommodation standards.

Handling guest requests, feedback, and service issues, and implementing appropriate solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.

Maintaining effective communication with staff, management, suppliers, and service providers regarding daily hotel operations.

Monitoring occupancy levels, room availability, bookings, and service requirements to support effective operational planning.

Maintaining operational records, guest information, service reports, and relevant documentation in accordance with workplace procedures.

Assisting in monitoring stock levels of housekeeping, guest service, and operational supplies and coordinating replenishment when required.

Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene, security, and hotel operating procedures.

Skills and qualifications:

At least 2 years of previous experience in motel or hotel management

Good clerical and computer skills, including knowledge of property management systems (GuestPoint & UseROSSwill be looked upon favourably)

Competent maintenance and good problem-solving skills

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

High attention to detail and ability to work independently

Reliable and trustworthy with a cheerful and pleasant personality

Sponsorship may be offered only if an outstanding candidate is found and agrees to work for a long time
