Christ the King Outside School Hours Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Coordinator to join our team in Deception Bay.

Christ the King OSHC has proudly supported children and families within the Deception Bay community for almost three decades where we have created a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel valued, connected and inspired.

Our programs are designed in partnership with children and families, combining intentional learning opportunities with spontaneous play experiences that encourage children’s ideas, creativity and development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator to work alongside our Coordinator and dedicated team of Educators to support the day-to-day operations of our service. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality care, enjoys mentoring others and is ready to take the next step in their OSHC career.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including

  • Program planning, delivery, and documentation
  • Staff rostering and supervision
  • Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA Equivalent
  • 2 years' experience in the education and care of children in a similar role.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • Child Protection Training is a requirement of this role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
  • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
