Role Description

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Occupational Therapist on a contract basis to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for individuals with diverse functional and developmental needs. As a contractor, you’ll work independently across various community settings or via Telehealth, delivering tailored, evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ functional abilities, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
• Develop individualized therapy plans to enhance mobility, self-care, and overall independence.
• Provide intervention for a range of conditions, including developmental delays, physical disabilities, and neurological disorders.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to support therapy goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and track client progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
• Stay updated on current best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
• Offer recommendations for assistive devices, home modifications, and ongoing support.
• Manage your own schedule and work independently to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Full registration with AHPRA
• Minimum 1-2 years of post-qualification experience
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance
• ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
• Relevant compliance documents (e.g., Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS Worker Check)
