Full-time Cook required for FNAVIA TRADING PTY LTD trading as Phoenix and Co at 2/285 Diamond Creek Rd, Plenty, VIC 3090.
Phoenix and Co. is currently seeking a qualified full-time cook to join our team at 2/285 Diamond Creek Rd, Plenty, VIC 3090. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, passionate and experienced in a commercial kitchen.
The job description for a cook is as follows, and it is not an exhaustive list:
- Adhere to the food safety standards and occupational health & safety rules and regulations
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Coordinate, supervise, and collaborate with kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
- Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Portion food, place it on plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes.
- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.
- Assist the senior team in the development of new recipes and menu items for specials.
- Assist in training other kitchen staff and apprentices
Requirements:·
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience and willingness to learn new cuisine.
- Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene & OHS Standards
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and good communication skills.

Salary per year: $79,000 to 82,000 plus Super
