Data Engineer | Hybrid | 12 Months Contract

Location Bella Vista, Western Sydney

Role Summary

• 7+ years of Data Engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale data warehouse and data platform solutions.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and driving large-scale data engineering initiatives.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataproc, Dataprep, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience designing and implementing high-volume batch and real-time data processing solutions using Apache Beam, Airflow, Kubernetes, Python, and Java.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, distributed systems, and streaming architectures.
• Hands-on experience building scalable and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience with integration tools and enterprise system integrations.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• GCP Professional Data Engineer, GCP Cloud Architect, or AWS certifications highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
